Canon notes: She's coming from a Previous Game! (Aather) So while she's regained a decent amount of her former abilities/memories she is still an amnesiac. Yay.

Species: Human, but she is a witch!

History:
Here's a wikia link!
» Piper was around in Aather for roughly a total of 6 OOC months which equated to 2 1/2-3 months in game. Which isn't a significant amount of time in a normal game, but there's also the fact you start as a total amnesiac. She does have most of her skills and a good chunk of memories back, so she's not completely anymore.
» No major plot happenings happened during her stay, so she didn't get fully into the "friendship is magic" Aather does when plot happens. She did, however, get it from her team to an extent who were exceptionally close and felt she distanced herself from them. But there was also a rather large age difference there as most were teenagers. She did come to adore Amethyst and tried to take care of them.
» She did spend a deal of time "booked". What this means is that the major premise of Aather is that a thing called the darkness is tying to destroy the worlds. Your characters were brought there because they were a beacon to it. So when a character in game is booked it means the Darkness went after them and they literally get shoved into a book for a while.
» She was present in one "trauma game," or miniature event where people can regain memories, where most of her team was severely mutilated and tortured to try and survive. So that is a thing that has some impact since it was a bunch of kids trying to offer themselves up to be injured to protect their team.
» ...She actually has a really bad idea of the sense of teams because of that, since kids should not think they have to sacrifice themselves for it.

In short, Piper's time in Aather was the most "normal" it could be for a teamnesia character. She arrived with one memory-- "There's a Woogie in the house" -- and was skeptical of everything going on. When she didn't immediately latch onto the team's naming theme, which was sky things, and more worried about the situation they took it to mean she didn't like them. Which was't true, but her focus was on suddenly your world is being attacked and you have amnesia. And it's all of these young children telling her that. One of them, Eureka, even tried convincing her she was a mother and not a child. So it was very much one of those moments in your life where everything is out of control and you can do nothing about it.

Her time after that was spent playing in "games" to regain their memories and then trying to get Amethyst back to being kids. So she tried taking over a lot of the cleaning and cooking in their treehouse, which some of them went for and others didn't. They did fairly well in games, so she won back quite a few memories along the way! During this time, they would have several people disappear from their team and then be replaced, but it wasn't a significant amount to be really worrying (which sometimes an entire team does just drop, but it was 1-2 people this time!).

The two most notable things Piper has going for happen consecutively even it takes a bit of team between each. The first was during her first trauma game which is sort of what it sounds like, the characters are put into positions where they have to do something or be maimed, or even killed. It does hold a great deal of impact because Amethyst was a team that at the time didn't want any of the others to get hurt so out of some sense of duty they were willingly hurting themselves in ways they couldn't handle to protect someone else. So this is something that stuck with her and made her really upset because they were kids and she wanted them to have the chance to be kids.

Shortly after this she was booked which is a dropping method that essentially means your character was target by the world-devouring Darkness and stuck into a book to protect them. So when she eventually returned it was right after another trauma game. And she doesn't even question what happened and went straight to making sure they were eating and were okay. This then proceeded into an "alumni event" where former characters came back and to try and cheer the kids up she made a breakfast for everyone. Since Amethysts came back and all!

Outside of these things her life was as normal and mundane as it can get in a fairytale forest where everyone's amnesiacs and having to play games to fight the aforementioned Darkness. It wasn't extraordinary, it was normal, and she spent a great deal of that time trying to help Amethyst and not knowing exactly how to because they were all pretty stubborn. The sad part is "normal" is still not the kind of normal she wants and involves really dumb attempts at solving silly puzzles, sometimes avoiding enchanted mistletoe, and trying not to facepalm really, really hard. But as normal as it gets.

Personality:
Canon Specific:
Piper is first introduced as the middle child and being in the middle is a good definition of who she was and is. Her teenage years were often described as being friendless or a pushover because she was awkward and this led into her early adult years. All three of her sisters were known for wild antics, but Piper was always the most grounded. She stayed home, went to college, and became a banker when her Grandmother got sick. It's only after Grams died that Piper did what she wanted and became a chef at a local restaurant. She was a fairly normal young woman until her younger sister, Phoebe, came home one day and read a certain spell.

Being "Charmed" was never something Piper wanted. She's well aware that her magic is a part of who she is and she can't deny it, but Piper isn't good with change. She doesn't like the idea of being under constant alert for demon attacks and this grows after she has her two sons. Out of all of the sisters she was the one that strove for a normal life the most and is obsessive on what her ideas of "normal" is. In that respect she tends to be very stubborn and you'll be hard-pressed to have her changing her opinion on it. Really, that goes for anything.

Despite this nature, however, Piper is willing to see eye-to-eye with you... eventually. Even if she rants about something and thinks a person is wrong, usually as soon as it's out she's able to admit she's wrong. Of all the sisters shes the quickest to think level-headedly and see it from a fair perspective. This is such an important aspect in her that when Leo made all the girls Goddesses he specifically made Piper one of Earth because he knew she wouldn't be swayed by power and would remain grounded. This was further proven when she was made Lady of the Lake, as it showed she would not be swayed by Excalibur's power.

During the eight years that she was most at work as a Charmed one, Piper failed to save many innocents. Some of which she fell in love with-- one of which was her older sister, Prue. While she seems to be have been able to move on from most of their deaths Prue's haunts her the most. Prue had always been the strong one, the one Piper knew would always be there, and without her there she didn't feel like there was anything left. Then Paige came along and suddenly Piper was the head witch and this was not okay.

Piper is still upset over the death of her older sister, but she's trying desperately to be as strong as Prue once was. She constantly tries to emulate how Prue approached Charmed work and make the power of three just as powerful as it was before. She sees herself as the person who has to put all of her wants and feelings aside so she can help serve the greater good...

But serving the greater good is something that Piper does. Her family has always told her she's always there to help people and that's never changed about her. Helping people is a part of Piper that even when she had the normal life she'd been craving for seven years she wasn't comfortable with it from day one-- which is longer than either of her sisters. Piper is such a born helper that she doesn't know how to handle others helping her or giving in. This is in part her nature to work and do what's seemingly sensible, but this also the lady that when pregnant decided she could still fight demons...

Piper may have been shy and under-confident before but she's not that kind of woman now. Between becoming an older sister, a mother, and fighting demons for seven years she's become far more sure of herself. Sure enough that she was the only one the Book of Shadows didn't reject once. Even though she's more confident now though she's a little bit more than just a tad cynical. Unfortunately, that also comes from the constant demon attacks and dying half a dozen times. The same cynicism does lead to some pretty snarky attitude problems.

All and all, Piper is a woman who loves deeply and wholly. Her heart is easily swayed towards helping people but firm in its beliefs. She's lost too many and feared too much in just under a decade that she's grown to be a little more hardened, but at the end of the day she's a mother and a sister. If there's one thing her journey's taught her it's that you have to accept who you are an embrace it for what it is.

Aather Changes/Considerations:
(This first part is a part in her original application in which I explained how she would likely change with the loss of memories)
In some respects, Piper will be much the same and in others she will be extremely different. Her personal growth revolved around the constant demon attacks and her yearning for normalcy. This was later capped by the loss of her older sister, Prue, and her journey into motherhood. Her confidence, cynicism, and obsession with normality are the things that she will be least likely to show in the beginning for this reason.

Her selflessness and maternal behaviors are things that will not change. Even though Prue had to grow up watching Piper and Phoebe to some degree, Piper was always the one more likely to stay home and do things around the house growing up. They eventually complemented each other, but Piper is a person who needs order in her life. She needs order and she will take care of everything around her until she breaks her back to keep that order.

Parts of the cynicism and confidence will still exist, however, just not as prominently as it did before. This is largely because they were always there, but she just never spoke her mind. She just let people get their way and have what they want. She'd just... be vocal about it behind their back, so it's something she'd have to grow back into along the way.

(How Aather affected her)
Piper or "Peregrine" as she will know herself by spent a period of roughly 6 OOC months in Aather in total, which is about 2 1/2 to 3 months in game (as it was a 1:2 day ratio). She was placed on Amethyst team which, at the time, was mostly a team of high-strung teenagers who were jokingly known as "emothyst". Despite the few adults on their team, they were used to doing for themselves at the point she arrived and all of them considered themselves adults. Essentially, there was a clash her, so instead of any growth towards speaking her mind she does still keep it mostly to herself.

Otherwise, outside of any aforementioned things up there, the nature of Aather forces you to associate outside of your comfortzone. You really can't exist becoming somewhat social, so while she's not at a level of just being "you're my best friend!" as some people might be or constantly approaching random people on the street-- she has gained more of the nature to throw herself out there and not hesitate if she needs to do something. Which correlates back to who she was in later seasons a bit.

She hasn't regained her need for normalcy, but she does still have the same resentment to situations and putting people in them. So it's to the point where she's about done with strange things, but it's not the only thing she's aiming for. Since, really, she just didn't want to come home to the kids on her team having almost just died and in a cuddle pile. Which is what happened from time to time.

She hasn't strayed too far from what I expected since Aather was tame during the time I played her, but depending on situations aboard the ships she may continue down her path as figured or change variably. But she does have enough of her usual life back that she has a decent idea of who she is even if she doesn't completely understand what all was going on there (because she doesn't).
Abilities:
Most of Piper's abilities are fairly normal, but then there's her Charmed powers. Her individual active powers are "Freezing" and "Molecular Combustion". She has the most control of freezing in that she can freeze an entire room and then unfreeze a single person if she wanted to. However, there's already a powercap in place there, too. It doesn't last forever and is only about five minutes on a room full of normal people at the end of the series. It doesn't work on "good witches" and the more powerful someone is the more quickly it wears off (usually in the case of under a minute). So I think powercap wise in Aather it would work the way it is. Molecular combustion is just what it sounds like! She can make things explode, but again, the more powerful it is the less likely she is able to. She can also use this power to redirect explosive energies back at the person!

She's also capable of potions making and spells. Potions will mostly rely on whatever is available in Aather at the time... Spells she will only have half usage of anyway. Any spell that is marginally too powerful is considered a "power of three spell" and Piper is not able to do it alone. Power of one spells are usually pretty simple ones overall that she couldn't really use anyway (the whole not doing things for personal gain issue).

Her other skills include being a chef! That's... really it. She has banking skills, mothering skills, some sewing/crafting, but that's pretty much the extent of her normal skills. She also has a tendency of not being killed by normal/magical attacks that usually kill people.. that's something.
